Term 4 Week 11 2024
This will be our last newsletter of the year
On Wednesday this week parents/carers will receive some important emails in their inbox. This will include student report cards and important information about 2025 and students' class placement. Be mindful to check your junk email folder. Please note, class allocation is subject to Day 8 changes. If students are not going to be at Mango Hill State School for the first two weeks of school and you haven’t informed us, we ask that you make contact via mhssadmin@mangohillss@eq.edu.au.
A huge congratulations and acknowledgement to our students for having a splendid year. We are really proud of their efforts. To our parents and carers, thank you for your ongoing support of our school and for partnering with us in your child’s education. Goodbyes
At the end of this week, we sadly farewell the following staff as follows.
Mrs Dixon, Ms Sarah Kassulke and Mrs Fuller who will be taking maternity leave at the end of this year. We can’t wait to meet the new Team Mango members! We wish them the best of luck. Ms Ratcliffe and Mrs Rivett will join us for a short amount of time in Term One before they also commence maternity leave.
Ms Edwards, Ms McEvoy, Ms Hartmann, Ms Brown, Ms Johnson and Ms Holm will all take some leave in 2025. We hope their return is speedy.
We farewell Ms Ricardio, Mr Oughton and Ms Blackmore and thank them for the role they undertake supporting our students and staff. We also farewell Ms Odette Smith and thank her for her assistance in the office. We wish them all the best.
Ms Blythe will also be moving to another school in 2025. We thank her for all her hard work in instrumental music.
This year we also farewelled Ms Vaf and Ms Tanner. Both teachers are in promotable positions and have been wonderful to have on staff. We wish them the best of luck.
We also farewelled Ms Raj and Ms Faulkner. We are hoping they are enjoying their new roles.
This year we also farewelled, Mr Ben Mills and Ms Melinda White. Both Deputy Principals were instrumental in driving teaching and learning and made a difference to the lives of many students and their families. We wish them the best of luck in their current roles.
We sadly farewell the following staff who will be transferring from Mango to other schools in 2025:
- Ms Chambers, Ms Browning and Ms Jerrard from our Prep/Year 1 team. These three teachers have been instrumental in the gains we have made in the early years. They will be an asset to the schools they are transferring into.
- Ms Louw, Ms Fitzpatrick, Ms Shanahan, Ms Croft and Mrs McColl from our Year 3/4 team. Some of these teachers have been at Mango for such a long time. It’s going to be hard to know how we will cope without them. The incoming school is so lucky to have such amazing teachers.
- Ms Robinson and Ms Drummond will be sadly missed from the upper part of our school. They both run such wonderful classrooms that are calm and where students can learn. Their new schools will recognise very quickly how great they are at their craft!
-
We also farewell Ms Kylie Vaughan as she heads into an Acting Principal role. Ms Vaughan is a foundation staff member at Mango Hill. She has contributed positively to the many lives of students and families during her time at Mango Hill. Ms Vaughan is super clever, organised, humorous and kind. We know she will be amazing in her new role and we are going to miss her greatly. On behalf of Team Mango, we wish her the best of luck and thank her for all that she has done for our school.
