Year 6 News by Danielle Price

Interschool Sport
This Friday, Year 5 and 6 students will be attending interschool sport. Our students always do a great job of representing MHSS by displaying the Four Cares and 5 Values while competing. I know that our Year 6 students will demonstrate great leadership on Friday. Good luck to everyone participating!
Transitions to High School
This week we had Mango Hill State Secondary College visit our school to speak with the Year 6 cohort. The transition to high school is important and something that we want to support our students and families with as best we can. If you are yet to confirm where your child is attending high school in 2025, now is the time to act.
Being Safe Online
Last week, our Year 6 students participated in a presentation by the Queensland Police around engaging safely online. Many of our students are regularly engaging online with peers and others through games, messages and social media. We highly recommend parents continuing to monitor their children's use of their devices and how they interact with them. For helpful resources for parents regarding online safety, check out the eSafety commissioner website: https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents and further resources on https://www.thinkuknow.org.au/resources-tab/parents-and-carers.
