Reconciliation Week / NAIDOC Week

With National Reconciliation Week occurring between 27 May and 3 June students from 5P have been raising awareness by creating a mural in the Year 5 hall way.  Great work 5P.

A reminder out Whole School NAIDOC Assembly will occur on Friday 21 June (Week 10). 

This year’s NAIDOC theme is ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud’.  NAIDOC Week occurs from 7-14 July.

Academic Achievement

Throughout the term, students have been working on both diary entries and information reports.  Over the past week, student have been making multi-text connections.  An example of this would be writing about a beach holiday in a diary entry and then writing about a sand crab you saw at the beach in an information report.

Well done to all the Year 5 students for being enthusiastic and demonstrating excellent effort throughout this unit.
