Principal's News by Tracy Egan

A great start to Term 2!
It is wonderful to see the students return in such a positive manner after the Easter break. There has been plenty of excitement catching up with teachers and old friends and making new friends. A special welcome to families new to our school community!
It is so lovely to see so many children wearing their school uniform with pride.
Just look at their happy faces!

ANZAC Day
Next Tuesday is ANZAC Day – an important day to commemorate and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. On Monday 24th April, we will hold a whole school parade from 9.00-9.30am in Gigum Hall to commemorate this important day. Students are asked to wear formal school uniform where possible (unless they have a PE or dance lesson on Monday). All parents are invited to join us and are asked to sit in the tiered seating up the back. If you are a defence force family or you wish to lay a wreath, please make your way to the front special guest area. Students are welcome to wear medals of loved ones who served. Please remind them how precious these are and ask them to take care and not to remove in case they get misplaced.
Each year level will make a wreath to lay. Please consider sending in some flowers or greenery on Friday.
The Pine Rivers March on Tuesday has been limited to 50 students per school so our student leaders and student councillors have been invited to attend to represent our school.
A reminder that Tuesday is a public holiday for ANZAC day.
Have a wonderful week
